Save on Dairy Farm Operating Costs with Efficient Ventilation Fans
Keep your cows cool and costs low with high-efficiency dairy fans
Hotter summers in California can make it difficult to keep dairy cows from experiencing heat stress. Replacing or adding high-efficiency dairy ventilation fans can be a simple way to regulate temperatures for cows, improving their health and milk production, while also saving energy.
Pairing fan upgrades with a variable frequency drive (VFD)* can increase equipment efficiency and reduce operating costs even further. VFDs utilize variable speed with temperature control to adjust their operation for maximum efficiency based on temperature conditions.
The Agriculture Energy Savings Action Plan (AESAP) has cash rebates available to help offset the costs of installing high efficiency ventilation fans and VFDs in your dairy facilities.
Efficient dairy fans can offer many benefits to your facility, including:
Increased milk
production
Happier and more comfortable cows lead to higher milk yields.
Save money
on your bill
Lowering your energy consumption will lead to overall cost savings.
Increased airflow
in facilities
Enhanced airflow improves overall barn environment and cow health.
If you recently installed fans or VFDs, you may be eligible for a retroactive rebate.
*VFDs rebates are only available for customers in climate zones 6 – 15.
